This hands on course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills of basic soft tissue augmentation around teeth and implants, including:
- Understand biological principles and clinical techniques of soft tissue augmentation.
- Appreciate the difference between, and clinical indications of, different soft tissue grafts – autogenous and “off the shelf” substitutes.
- Understand and develop surgical techniques for soft tissue augmentation including practice of CTG, CAF, Tunnelling techniques, FGG and use of xenografts (Mucograft® and Fibro-Gide®).

Professor Mariano Sanz is the Professor of Periodontology, Dean of the Faculty of Odontology of the University Complutense of Madrid, and Director of the Graduate Program “Masterin Periodontology” also at the University Complutense of Madrid. Currently he is the Chairman of the European Council of Deans of Faculties of Odontology.
Professor Mariano Sanz is the author of more than 250 scientific articles and book chapters and participates extensively in international lectures, courses and seminars in Periodontology, Implant Dentistry and Prof. Mariano Sanz Dental Education.

Associate Professor Ryan Lee is the Head of Periodontology at the School of Dentistry, the University of Queensland. He has published multiple papers in the peer-reviewed international journals, and regularly lectures nationally and internationally. Ryan is a current President for Australian Society of Periodontics (ASP). He was awarded the André Schröder Research Prize in 2022.

Professor Sašo Ivanovski is the Dean of the School of Dentistry at The University of Queensland, Australia, where he is also Professor of Periodontology and Director of the Centre for Orofacial Regeneration, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation (COR3).
He has published over 250 papers in the peer-reviewed literature and leads an internationally recognized research group focusing on regenerative dentistry and tissue engineering, as well as clinical periodontics and implant dentistry.
