Course Outline:

Day 1 - Clinical assessment of soft tissue deficiencies around teeth: Clinical indications, Management strategies.
Day 2 – State of the art in soft tissue deficiency management around implants, grafting materials, clinical outcomes and predictability. Choice of substitute materials for grafts.

• Clinical assessment of soft tissue deficiency around teeth and implant
• Clinical indications (Gingival augmentation, Root coverage, Soft tissue augmentation around implants)
• Techniques:

1. Surgical techniques (flap designs, elevation technique, suture technique)
2. Grafting materials

• ​Clinical outcomes and predictability

Hands-on: Exercise on the following tasks;

• Various flap designs for different clinical objectives
• Full thickness vs Partial thickness flap
• Collagen matrix choice and handling
• Suture techniques
