Tissue engineered constructs for orofacial regeneration should be of a complex three-dimensional shape, highly porous to allow vascularization, and demonstrate biomechanical stability over time. This lecture addressed recent advances in the biofabrication of multiphasic constructs capable of recapitulating the complex temporal and spatial wound healing events that lead to predictable orofacial regeneration.
